Do More, Be More: The Power of Daily Goals

Uncategorized May 27, 2019

If there is one power in this world that has the power to radically transform one’s life...its the power of consistent daily action.

I became fascinated with the power of daily habits when I began learning about personal development and self improvement in college. I can honestly say that I am a product of all of those so called “woo woo” “self help” books. They work.

I began to analyze every area of my life and found numerous areas where I could improve. I could wake up earlier. I could meditate. I could read daily. I could exercise and eat healthy daily. I could train myself to speak positively.

Focusing on cultivating a daily routine that would empower and improve my life became an obsession—and the results were fast.

Here’s the thing about daily habits and routines: YOU WILL ENCOUNTER RESISTANCE. When you set a habit to wake up at 5am everyday—what do you do when you stay out until 3am partying with your friends? Still get up...

2 Years Into Carnivore: My Experience So Far!

Uncategorized May 27, 2019

I have to admit—although I’m the ripped carnivore guy…I was never sure if I would be doing this diet for life. Ultimately, optimal health results are what’s most important to me. If the science and my subjective experiences disagree with carnivore, I would be quick to experiment for a while and then make the necessary adjustments.

But here’s the thing…I feel amazing. I have literally never felt better in my life.

I’m 2+ years into the Carnivore Diet. Now let me be super super specific. I eat meat, organ meats, eggs, seafood, and occasionally high fat dairy 98% of the time. I eat 1-2 meals a day. Once every 1 or 2 weeks, I will have a cheat meal.

If you’re a hardcore religious carnivore, go ahead and kick me out of the club. We’re very different.

But for the rest of you—here’s why I do it. When I was starting, I did strict carnivore for 6 months. I believe this period of dietary strictness healed my body.

Now, my...

Thoughts on a Nutritarian Diet vs Carnivore Diet

Uncategorized May 27, 2019

Quick note: This essay is presenting my layman's thoughts around Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s recent appearance on Mark Bell’s podcast. This essay is not authoritative. I’m simply sharing the questions I posed to myself while listening. I’m not a professional, I'm someone who’s trying to figure this stuff out. Part of the reason I was unconvinced by Dr. Fuhrman’s arguments is that I simply need more information at this point before making conclusive statements. I need the whole picture. Also, I have huge respect and admiration for Dr. Fuhrman and the body of work he has contributed.

I recently listened to an episode of Mark Bell’s Power Project podcast featuring Dr. Joel Fuhrman. For a little background, Mark Bell is a world champion powerlifter and all around badass. One of the things I love about his podcast is the incredible variety of high level guests as well as the thoughtful discussions that happen. Dr. Joel Fuhrman...

The Tree That Sways, Stays: Keep Working or Know When To Rest?

Uncategorized May 27, 2019

I’m a huge believer in daily disciplines. Creating habits, routines, and practices that will lead to a better life over time. We know that consistency is the key to massive, exponential growth over time. We know that things are always growing stronger or weaker. There’s a constant ebb and flow.

But how do you balance this with the reality of being human? Getting sick, feeling emotionally drained, dealing with crisis, feeling exhausted?

Do you still get up early, go train no matter what, get your work done, and push through the pain?

It’s a heroic and noble concept on paper. One that a guy like me would love to stand behind. But the truth of the matter is, the tree that sways stays standing. The tree that stands rigid gets snapped.

It’s an old proverb but it’s true. If you can sway through the storms of life, you will keep standing. If you are rigid, inflexible—you probably won’t be standing for long.

Life tends to exist more on a...

Stumbling and Fumbling: Coming Back from a Loss

Uncategorized May 27, 2019

It’s inevitable. If you’re truly pushing the limits of what you’re capable of and really living on the edge of your comfort zones—you will fall down.

Every baby encounters this reality, but that doesn’t cause them to stop walking and abandon the pursuit altogether.

Over time, as adults we sometimes do just that. Maybe let’s take a cue from infants here and remain constantly curious, constantly optimistic, and relentless in our learning.

For me—I hit a stage yesterday where I had a mountain of work before me and hardly any energy to do it.

I attempted to push through and complete it—but eventually I buckled under the pressure and finally went to sleep…and slept in until around 6:30am.

I wasn’t happy about it. I felt the surge of guilt. I felt like I had weakened and disappointed myself.

But the important question is to always ask—what’s the lesson here?

I learned a few lessons in my opinion. The first...

8 Steps to Creating Highly Effective Daily Goals

Daily Goals To Maximize Your Success

I am a HUGE believer in the power of goals. Every human being has the ability to take one step forward every single day. Therefore, every human being has the power to set and achieve goals…therefore everyone has the power to improve their lives!

Regardless of excuses. Regardless of your past. Regardless of who or what is holding you back. There is always at least ONE area of your life that you can begin improving. When you do that, it begins a domino effect to many other areas of your life.

Let’s get into some practical tips:

1. Figure out what your life goals are. What MUST you do in your life before you go to the grave. What have you always dreamt about doing. Before people started criticizing you. Before your parents or friends told you who you “are”. Before the weight of society made you limit yourself. Human beings are INCREDIBLY complex and we all contain multitudes within us. You may have been a thug...

Beef Liver: The Ultimate Energy Hack?

Uncategorized Nov 21, 2018

I’ve recently gotten into the habit of eating liver every day (weird way to start off a blog post).

Beef liver, if you don’t know, is probably one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the plant.

Liver is nature’s multivitamin and energy supplement. You know all those B-vitamins they put in energy drinks? All found in liver. Vitamin A is also found in high amounts in liver. It’s extremely rich in iron and healthy cholesterol which supports your hormones, prevents anemia and so much more!

Hunter-gatherers and carnivorous predators would often eat the raw liver of their prey first to replenish their energy after a successful hunt.

For me—any food with such incredible properties is something I want to explore. However, up until now I’ve been concerned about the possible risk of liver overconsumption. This theoretically could lead to Vitamin A toxicity.

After asking around to my smarter friends—a lot of them explained that there...

Take Action: Unleash Your Full Potential

Uncategorized Nov 21, 2018

Very often, we are shackled from becoming our greatest selves because of apparent mental and physical limitations.

When I was really young (5-10), I always felt I had greatness inside of me. I felt like there was so much I wanted to do and accomplish. I was very motivated.

But I held myself back. Instead of taking action on my goals, I simply allowed myself to believe that I couldn’t get into acting or excel at sports because I was skinny, dressed funny, and didn’t come from a wealthy family.

Later when I was 15-17, I had similar dreams and ambitions. I wanted to have a huge voice in the world. I wanted to become an actor. I wanted to excel at what I did. But I had severe acne. I mean really severe acne. So I believed that my goals and dreams were always out of reach because I didn’t look the part.

In fact, I even decided that it would probably be best for me to get a desk job or something where I could hide away and not have to interact with people. I was far too...
